Using the best Xbox emulator for Mac will allow users to enjoy the games flawlessly. In fact, XBOX 360 is the most popular software program which contains lots of.
Here’s an overview of both ways so you can choose the best one for you.
1. Parallels
Play Xbox One Games On Mac Without Console
Parallels is our favorite way to run Windows on a Mac and the latest version of Parallels 15 supports Xbox Beta from the Windows store which allows you to play Xbox games in Windows 10.
You also need an Xbox pass but you can get one for an introductory offer of $1 for the first month and then $5 per month afterwards.
Even better, you can connect your Xbox controller via Bluetooth meaning you can enjoy the full Xbox experience on your Mac.
Installing Windows on your Mac also opens up a whole world of other advantages allowing you to install PC only apps and games on macOS.
2. OneCast
OneCast allows you to stream Xbox One games to macOS in 1080p and connect an Xbox controller to your Mac via Bluetooth or USB.
OneCast is extremely easy to setup, there’s almost no lag when playing and you can setup multiple profiles for multiple Xboxes.
You can try OneCast for free although after 14 days it costs $10 to buy a license key for the full version. It’s normally $20 but it’s currently 50% off until April 1st. You can also watch OneCast in action playing NBA Live on Mac here.
Before starting, make sure that your Mac and Xbox are connected to the same internet router at home. Then follow these instructions to start streaming Xbox games to your Mac for free:
- Download the trial version of OneCast for free and open the DMG file downloaded.
- Drag the OneCast app to your Applications folder.
- Click on the OneCast icon in your dock to launch it.
- OneCast will then automatically detect your Xbox on your home network (assuming it’s switched on) and allow you to connect to it. OneCast will prompt you to login into your Xbox with your Microsoft account details. Just use the same username and password that you use to log onto your Xbox One.
- Finally you simply need to connect your Xbox One controller to your Mac which you can do by activating Bluetooth on your Mac via System Preferences. Alternatively you can also connect it via USB.
You can stream your Xbox on your Mac in either windowed mode or full screen mode. You can even connect your Mac to your Xbox away from home too although this requires a few simple manual network configuration changes which are explained in the OneCast user manual.
Although there is some lag at times, most games run pretty smoothly in 1080p using OneCast and it’s generally very impressive. If you find that lag becomes a problem, you can try changing the video quality when you launch OneCast from “Very High” to “High”, “Medium” or “Low”.
It is also a good idea to shut down all other applications while using OneCast as it’s quite GPU intensive and your Macs cooling vents will kick in pretty quickly if you’ve got lots of other applications open.

Microsoft's Game Pass is a subscription-based service that opens up a whole library of games. It launched in mid-2017 and is available to anyone, regardless of being a Gold subscriber or not.
Microsoft is pushing Game Pass hard, and it's going to be a very important service for Xbox going forward, both on console and on PC. Here's everything you need to know.
What is Xbox Game Pass?
Game Pass is a subscription service that gives Xbox One gamers access to a library of games to download and play for as long as they continue to pay for the service. A similar example would be EA Access, except Game Pass isn't exclusive to one publisher.
How much does it cost?
Xbox Game Pass costs $9.99 a month. In some locations, you can buy a six-month subscription code up front.
Everyone can get a free 14-day trial before paying.
Does it replace Xbox Live Games with Gold?
No. Game Pass is a completely separate service to Games with Gold and operates alongside it. If you want to enjoy multiplayer games, however, you will still need to have a Gold subscription in order to do that.
How do I get Xbox Game Pass?
You can sign up on the console or on the web.
Once you're subscribed, you can manage your subscription from the console, too. On the latest versions of the OS, Game Pass has its own tab inside 'my games and apps' and games can be installed directly from here without needing to go to the store.
How many games are there?
At launch, there were over 100 games covering both Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward compatible games in the catalog. Every month, new games are added, and it now even stretches to a selection of original Xbox backward compatible titles.
Additionally, every new Microsoft first-party title will be added into Game Pass at launch. This includes forthcoming games like Bleeding Edge.
But just as games regularly enter the rotation, games also regularly leave Game Pass. Any non-Microsoft game will likely leave at some point, or you should treat it as such and play those you like the look of as soon as you can.
Do I need to an Xbox Live Gold subscription?
No, Xbox Game Pass is a completely separate subscription program.
Are Xbox Play Anywhere games included?
Absolutely. With an Xbox Game Pass subscription, PC gamers are able to play Xbox Play Anywhere titles, such as Sea of Thieves, without a purchase if they have a Game Pass subscription on their Xbox console.
Future first-party titles that are also Play Anywhere will also be included in the same way.
Is it be available on Windows 10?
It is! There's now also a dedicated Xbox Game Pass for PC. It can be subscribed to on its own or as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes console, PC, and an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

Will I get a discount to buy the games if I like them?
Yep. Game Pass subscribers will get an exclusive discount to buy the games and related downloadable content (DLC).
Will I be able to play if I stop my subscription?
Games are available to play, in full, for as long as you're a paying subscriber. If you cancel your subscription, you lose access to said games.
